Hello everyone. I have lot's of Valentine's looks to share with you! and at the end you will have to guess which one I end up wearing! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love all of the red and pink cute hearts, vintage valentines, love, and of course cupid! ! Keep stopping by to see all of the inspiration looks for Valentine's Day. This piece is a vintage dress probably from the 80's, but I decided to add some crinoline under it to make it have a 50's feel...since the 50's are my favorite. I found this dress last summer up at the campus Goodwill, and it was half off! so this is what I came up with using this dress..what do you think?
Vintage dress: $2.50
Crinoline: $3.99 from Ohio Thrift
Merona tights: $2.00 from Goodwill (new)
Merona shoes: $2.00 from Salvation Army
Total look: $10.49
What am I dreaming of for Valentines Day?

hi Heather! That post was bit of a venture for you. You pulled it off. Did a great job. Do you know Anita at Castles Crowns and Cottages? I featured her last Friday. She makes those stunning dresses but her's are made of paper!!! ya, paper!! They aren't to be worn just admired. Crazy, huh? I loved the ruffles under the other wise longer and flowing dress. Great, great idea, you smart gal, you!!!!!!

Blog hopping from Frugal Living and More - the dress is cute but more of a Christmas than Valentine's day look.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Helene's link-up. LOVE that red dress! I don't know if I could pull of the crinoline underneath as well as you can, but I'd be willing to bet it would look great on it's own. What's the fabric?
ReplyDeleteI love your Valentine outfit, really cute with the crinoline under it. I thought I might be too old for crinoline until I saw Wendy Malick (61 ish) on a talk show with a simple pretty dress, crinoline and flats. Sooo pretty.
ReplyDeleteheather, when i think of the 50's styles i do think of you. this one looks good too.
