Inspiration Monday..And Storage Wars...

Hello everyone. I hope that you all had a great weekend. I went to the pumpkin farm with the kids. They went on the hay ride..through the maze..had kettle corn..the works!. Other then that I had a big yard sale Saturday that sucked up the majority of the day, but it did very well! I will be ready to have another here in a couple weeks...hopefully the rest of our collection will be gone by then. It always feels good to get rid of the things that you don't want, but it always seems to collect again...that is the problem with being a thrifter! Do you ever find that you buy too many things? Every year I try to buy less, so that I avoid having to do the yard sales, but I enjoy finding thrifty items as well...and I usually don't have a problem getting rid of them once I am done with them..except for my dresses..lol. What do you have a hard time parting with? As a thrifter out there how do you handle all of your items? What are some good storage ideas that you use? I am like the worst person for being organized..but I am looking into the idea of old bookcases as storage ideas for my shoes!

Top: $7.00 from TJ.Maxx
Tunic dress: $3.00 from Rue 21
Necklace: $10.00
Charlotte Russe heels: $8.00 from Plato's Closet

Total look: $28.00

And the inspiration..

  6. Love your top! I have the same problem with my shoes! But I try to control it. Have you tried the one in one out closet policy? When you buy something new, you need to get rid or donate something out of your closet. That way, you'll never run out of space! :) I found you on the LL linky and I'm a new follower!

  9. Hey Heather! I recently wrote a post talking about the fact I had too much stuff, but I didn't manage to find a solution, I have just decided I have to stop shopping! You look so so pretty! WHat a great shirt and necklace combo, the nicest interpretation I've looked at so far!

  10. No I don't have a strategy for storage but boy do I need it. I'm a thrifter addict too and I agree I seem to have so many clothes but not always the perfect item for the the day - what can I say... I get easily bored!

I've learnt my lesson about being too clever with clean-outs - the trend comes back and you always think; Dam I wish I still had 'x'!

    1. I really like this comment..I am easily bored as well..I buy a lot of thrifted clothes one because I am a mother of two on a tight budget, and two because I don't usually like to wear the same thing twice. I just get bored and like to have fun with my clothes, and I always like "unique" things.
Yes, I do the same thing! everything comes back!
